Woodcote House School

Woodcote House School, where boys can still be boys, is the ultimate family owned preparatory school. Set in thirty acres of beautiful woods and gardens close to Ascot, yet only 45minutes from South West London, the hundred boys benefit from small class sizes which ensures academic success and a steady stream of scholarships. A 100% pass rate at Common Entrance to the top public schools is something we are very proud of.

London based families and those from outside the capital choose Woodcote because they want a modern boarding prep school with traditional values to prepare their sons for public school. The fact that Woodcote is owned by the Paterson family and is a school of a hundred means the sense of being part of a family permeates through to boys and parents alike. Our dedicated teachers live in houses dotted around the grounds and their families are also very much part of the school.

Boys can start at Woodcote from the age of seven and we have an intake of new boys in all forms groups at the start of each year.

Boarding at Woodcote is great fun for the boys as they learn to live in a community whilst also fostering confidence and responsibility. Being a boarder also means all academic work is done at school and every third weekend is an Exeat which starts at noon on Friday and finishes on Monday evening. All parents are welcome on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons to watch matches and experience the legendary ‘match tea’ whilst many also come to our delightful Chapel in the woods on Sunday mornings.
