The Minors Nursery School

We firmly believe that a child's introduction to school must be a supremely happy one and strive to create an atmosphere where fun and learning go hand in hand. Productive play and exploration in a relaxed, positive atmosphere, together with our high expectations, encourages success and a real love of learning.

The Minors Nursery School was founded in 1975, with the aim of creating a caring, safe environment where children develop into independent, confident individuals and begin their education feeling valued and happy. The atmosphere is relaxed but stimulating and the children are encouraged to explore a wide range of subjects through active learning. We work closely with parents to provide the highest quality of care, education and support for their child and to ensure that the nursery school is a happy place for all who are part of it.

The children gain pre school skills through productive play and exploration in a relaxed, positive atmosphere which, together with our high expectations, encourages success and a real love of learning.

Our carefully planned framework is tailored to the needs of the individual child allowing each one to move successfully through the Early Years Foundation Stage. A balance of child initiated and adult led activities encourages every child to develop their skills and prepares them to progress confidently onto the next stage of their education.
