Landmark School, Massachusetts, USA

We believe every student can succeed and should have the opportunity to do so.

Everything at Landmark School is focused on that belief. Our program offers daily one-to-one tutorials, small class sizes, and customized, remedial education for students with a language-based learning disability (LBLD), such as dyslexia. All of our students have average to above-average intelligence, and a healthy emotional well being.

Our mix of students with day and boarding programs, specialized faculty, plus a full range of arts and athletic, makes us stand out as a place where students with LBLD can achieve their full potential.

Coming to Landmark is a turning point for them and their families. Landmark makes the difference through a model we’ve developed, refined, and perfected over 40 years. Landmark reaches students and helps them thrive.

People with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities (LBLD) are often individuals of great ability and character. To succeed, they’ve had to demonstrate monumental resilience and perseverance. And because their brains are wired differently, they’re often creative, multi-dimensional free thinkers who imagine possibilities others can’t see.

If they can’t access education or find the key to unlock learning, they won’t reach their potential. That would be tragic because we, the world, would miss out on their contributions.

Landmark School is on a mission to make sure that doesn’t happen - that every child with LBLD gets the chance to develop to the fullest.

Daily One-to-One Tutorial

Our daily, one-to-one tutorial program is the cornerstone of the Landmark School program. Each student has the same tutorial teacher through the whole year helping to foster a relationship of trust. A personalized tutorial curriculum is designed to remediate the specific language needs of a student.

Case Management

Each tutorial is directly overseen by the Academic Case Manager, a unique position to Landmark School. Case Managers partner with the student and tutorial teacher to build a customized curriculum that suits every student’s needs.

Athletics

Landmark Athletics provide a competitive and developmental program, while promoting and embodying the ideals of teamwork, sportsmanship, commitment, and self-discipline. We challenge our student athletes to strive to be the best they can be on and off the field. Sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, fitness training, golf, lacrosse, swimming, wrestling, and more.

Performing Arts

Performing Arts at Landmark School provide the highest quality instruction in dance, music, drama, musical theater, and technical theater. We produce many musical and dramatic performances throughout the year and have been awarded for our professionalism and talent. We offer drum and percussion, Landmark Chorus, many genres of dance, drama, and technical theater classes as well as private instrument and voice lessons.

Visual Arts

The Visual Arts thrive at Landmark School. The program fosters the development of personal expression and exposes students to a variety of skill-based artistic disciplines. Classes include: ceramics/sculpture, drawing and painting, photography, and more.

High School Electives

While our students work hard to overcome their learning challenges, we encourage development of the whole person in our program and offer a vast array of electives including 3D animation & modeling, auto mechanics, boatbuilding, short film production, TV production, woodworking, and more.

I look forward to talking with you soon.
